Electrical Assembler

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Assembler with a manufacturing ISO 9001:2000 or other quality standard background.

The Position:
Under the direction of a Supervisor, responsibilities include:

  • Assembling and testing wiring harnesses and electrical and electronic assemblies.
  • Cutting wiring to length, crimping, and assembling connectors.
  • Soldering wires into printed circuit assemblies per detailed assembly drawing.
  • Some testing of electronic assemblies per test procedures may be required.
  • Cross training into other assembly and production areas.
  • Following all safety procedures and guidelines.

To be successful you will have completed high school or have the GED equivalent. The ability to read and understand technical assembly drawings would be an asset. Experience with electronic soldering and with assembling electrical assemblies and harnesses preferred. You must be able to follow a production schedule and prioritize daily work accordingly.

Intermediate/Senior Mechanical Engineer

VMAC Global Technology Inc requires an Intermediate/Senior Mechanical Engineer who reports to the Quality and Engineering Manager and is primarily responsible for providing technical expertise to the product design/development projects within the organization as well as assisting with project coordination. The position requires the candidate to be proficient in all elements of the product design process from conceptualization, thought analysis and refinement, to implementation/commercialization as well as engaging in continuous improvement. The candidate must employ a strong working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and principles to balance company cost with customer value. Ideally, the candidate will possess a strong background/capability in machine noise/vibration analysis.


  • Collaborate within the Engineering department and across all departments to achieve targets set by the management team to meet strategic goals of the company and realize business growth.
  • Work directly with customers as well as with sales and marketing department to ensure features of new and existing product lines are providing value to the customer.
  • Act as technical liaison with internal and external customer and suppliers as required.
  • Utilize project planning tools and organization methods to specify project milestones and estimate timelines to complete tasks.
  • Apply advanced design techniques to develop and maintain core components and product assemblies.
  • Be proficient in engineering principles and design tools including traditional theory, manual calculation solutions and software solutions (i.e. 3D Modeling, Drafting, FEA and Numerical Modeling).
  • Implement knowledge of fabrication methods and manufacturing processes to bolster the robustness of products as well as efficiency and productivity within the facility.
  • Ensure full engineering practices, compliance with recognized standards and testing procedures are adhered to.
  • Employ thorough analysis methodology and strong analytical decision-making in all aspects of engineering activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 4-year Bachelor of Engineering Degree from an accredited university of good standing or equivalent is required.
  • Post-graduate technical degree is an asset.
  • 5 – 10 years of relevant industry work experience is preferred. Other experience levels will be considered.
  • P.Eng. designation / APEGBC membership is preferred.
  • Project Management designation or training such as PMP is an asset.
  • Lean Manufacturing training or experience is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of machine noise/vibration analysis is preferred and is a strong asset.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is an asset.
  • Experience with air compressors, particularly rotary screw, is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of engineering drawing standards (i.e. ASTM, ANSI, ISO) including interpretation and application of GD&T is preferred.
  • Strong capability with 3D modelling, drafting, office, finite element software is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of machining, casting, molding, sheet metal, weldment, fabrication, heat/chemical treatments and associated material characteristics is required.
  • A high-energy work ethic, high independent initiative as well as a positive, collaborative, team-oriented attitude are all required.

CNC Machinist

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Red Seal certified CNC Machinist with manufacturing ISO 9001:2000 or other quality standard backgrounds. To be successful applicants must have excellent communication, analytical and mechanical skills as well as being team players.

The Position:
Under the direction of a Supervisor, this full-time position is responsible for the set-up, loading/unloading of parts, programming and operating of CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines.

Must be capable of:

  • Assertive self-starter with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • High energy level with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Identifying and correcting bottlenecks, improving efficiency and the quality of processes and products and following the daily Production Schedule prioritizing work accordingly.
  • Understanding and following the “Pull” type systems currently in use.
  • Experience with HAAS and/or Doosan CNC machinery will be a definite asset.
