CNC Machinist

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Red Seal certified CNC Machinist with manufacturing ISO 9001:2000 or other quality standard backgrounds. To be successful applicants must have excellent communication, analytical and mechanical skills as well as being team players.

Under the direction of a Supervisor, this full-time position is responsible for the set-up, loading/unloading of parts, programming and operating of CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines.
Must be capable of:

  • Assertive self-starter with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • High energy level with ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Identifying and correcting bottlenecks, improving efficiency and the quality of processes and products and following the daily Production Schedule prioritizing work accordingly.
  • Understanding and following the “Pull” type systems currently in use.
  • Experience with HAAS and/or Doosan CNC machinery will be a definite asset.

Inside Sales

You won’t be direct selling by cold calling but you can’t be shy to pick up the phone and talk to people. You’ll be working with our inside team as well as directly supporting our National Sales Representatives in their territories. You will have great inter-personal skills, can play well on a team, are detail oriented and are always looking at solving problems or creating better solutions. We aren’t looking for “can-do”, we need “will-do” attitudes. The occasional bit of travel keeps things interesting. Are you the right fit for our team?

Manufacturing Engineer

VMAC Global Technology Inc requires a Manufacturing Engineer to take responsibility for all design for manufacturing and assembly activities within his/her given brief. The ideal candidate is expected to pro-actively identify where products could be better optimized for manufacture/assembly. The Manufacturing Engineer must possess the capabilities to drive their requirements into the development and continuous improvement of product. Specifically the Manufacturing Engineers duties will include developing an in-depth knowledge of our supply base, strengths and weaknesses of internal manufacturing and business processes, strengths and weaknesses of equipment, and the strengths and weaknesses of key personnel that contribute to the quality of the manufactured product.
The Position:

  • Investigate, design and model manufacturing processes to optimize quality, capacity, efficiency and safety.
  • Responsible for manufacturing non-conformances, MFMEA, PFMEA and root cause effect analysis.
  • Specify, design, procure, and commission capital expenditures including manufacturing equipment, materials handling equipment, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Develop and continually improve manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineers to ensure alignment of design requirements with manufacturing and machine capability.
  • Adjust manufacturing processes to optimize product performance and quality.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional Engineer or Technologist in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering within a manufacturing/shop environment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing/shop environment.
  • Specify, design, procure, and commission capital expenditures including manufacturing equipment, materials handling equipment, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Develop and continually improve manufacturing processes.
  • Strong aptitude for process development and equipment design.
  • Hands on approach on problem solving with the ability to mentor and train others.
